Third-year STUdent Grace Christie is living out her life-long dream of living in Australia through her year-long international exchange at the Australian Catholic University in Sydney.

Christie knew that participating in an international exchange would allow her to expand her understanding of the world around her and offer her new opportunities and life experiences.

"Every STU student should look into the opportunity to partake in a life-changing international exchange. My exchange has changed me; I am more confident in myself and more in love with life than ever before," said Christie.

"My exchange has forced me outside of my comfort zone and shown me that I am capable of anything."

In the classroom, the psychology STUdent feels right at home, having chosen a university with small class sizes and kind and accommodating professors that remind her of STU.

"With the small class sizes and diverse courses, it's very easy to build relationships with professors and students," said Christie.

During her exchange, Christie has travelled to Tasmania, Fiji, the Blue Mountains, Uluru, Cairns, and New Zealand. She’s had many new experiences, from skydiving to attending a performance at the Sydney Opera House and even working at a surf shop on the beach during her summer holidays.

"Living and studying abroad is such a unique and incredible adventure; I cannot recommend it enough."
