The annual STU Santas Campaign is Underway

The annual STU Santas program is underway for this holiday season.

The program assists St. Thomas students who are also parents, with children (16 and under) who experience financial need during Christmas and the holidays. Through the support of faculty, staff, and student donations, these students are provided with financial assistance and gifts to bring a little extra joy to their holiday celebration.

Last year, STU Santas supported 47 children in 20 families.

“These admirable students are balancing school, work, parenting, and often other challenges, and could really use a helping hand,” said Claire Morrison, Campus Minister. “STU Santas has become known as a heartwarming way for our STU community to step up and demonstrate its typical kindness and generosity.”

Donations will be accepted until December 2nd. One hundred percent of the donations will go to STU Santas families.

Here's how you can  make a gift:

  • Donate at the online donation page,
  • Donate through STU Financial Services office.
  • Take an ornament from the "Jesse Tree." Ornaments indicating gifts requested by our student families will be placed on the Christmas Tree outside the Chapel in Holy Cross House. Take an ornament, buy the gift, and place it, together with the ornament, back under the tree by December 7th.

STUdents: To apply to receive assistance from STU Santas, please fill out this by November 27.  You will be notified if your application has been successful by November 30. Your information will be shared only as strictly necessary to administer the program.
